The Glamour of yesterdays Airlines is coming back to JFK this Spring

TWA’s 1962 Landmark terminal building at JFK has been undergoing a massive renovation over the last couple of years exceeding $65 million.  The new space will house a museum featuring original flight attendant uniforms designed by Valentino, Ralph Lauren and others.  The building will also feature a 512 guest room hotel that offer views of JFK’s runways and a restaurant, a roof top pool and an observation deck.  For those looking for convenience to catch their Jet Blue flight there will be an underground tube to take travelers directly to Terminal 5 departures.  There is so much excitement building that weddings and events have already been booked for this year.

This project is not only a huge plus for JFK Airport but for the borough of Queens as well.   There is a wave of development taking place through out the borough at the moment; Infrastructure projects like the East Side Access that will take commuters from downtown Jamaica to Penn Station in about 10 minutes, Laguardia airport’s multi billion dollar redevelopment that will offer travelers a true modern experience and now the possibility of a soccer stadium at the Willets Point development site.
